It takes a village
Life can feel isolating to those of us who are minorities or immigrants, but you are not alone.
WE ARE STRONGER TOGETHER
Being new parents is a challenge: we understand you, we have navigated this path before and helped many families.
LET US BE A PART OF YOUR VILLAGE
Grace Kaleli-Lee, MA, CHW
As a certified community health worker, doula, childbirth educator, researcher and author, I prepare families as they navigate their journeys into parenthood.
CDC data continues to show higher maternal and fetal mortality rates among minoritizied communities. Thus, for over a decade, my work has been predominately with minority or immigrant communities, as well as partnering with organizations aiming to decrease these disparities.
My role is to empower every parent to find their own strength, lean on their spiritual and relational support-structures, define their boundaries and provide guidance on certain aspects of the healthcare system.
I immigrated to the USA almost 3 decades ago. My husband and I are parents of three adult children.
Postpartum Wellness Coach
Being a new parent can at times feel overwhelming as you adjust your life to welcome your beautiful baby or babies.
Sometimes both dads and moms of newborns experience the unnerving emotion of "losing oneself" and often many new parents feel unsupported or misunderstood.
I am here to help!
Thank you for showing up into this new role. It takes bravery to embrace the changes that come with parenthood.
You are a gift to your child & your child is a gift to you.
